As we drove into Gluepot we couldn't help but notice all the beautiful colours. So we stopped for some photos on the way in.

Gluepot Reserve

On our first full day at Gluepot we did a day trip with Helga from Southern Birding Services. The day started out fairly quiet but we soon managed to tick off some of the birds on our wanted list. This Southern Scrub-robin was calling from a dead branch.

We stopped off at the Grasswren Tank for lunch. We sat in the hide and watched as some nice birds came in for a drink. First was the Brown-headed Honeyeater.

Then came the Yellow-plumed Honeyeater.

Striated Pardalote We finished off the day with some really nice sightings. First there was a Black-eared Miner. Then just as we were about to give up Helga heard Striated Grasswren. We still had one more full day left at Gluepot.
